History of Mansarovar Ashram
The grand layout of SHREE WAHEGURU GURU NANAK MANASAROVAR ASHRAM was designed & conceived by Shri 108 Sant Baba Joginder Singh Ji (Moni Sahib), Head jathedar of Takhat Shree Abchal Nagar Hazoor Saheb Nanded (Maharashtra).
Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji of Hoti Mardan was the great spiritual teacher of Sant Baba Joginder Singh ji (Moni Sahib). He kept Babaji under Strict discipline both internal & external. Babaji marvelled in every sphere such as the preachings of Sikhism, study of scriptures, renunciation as a way of life for the good of the world. He lovingly & selflessly served his Master with complete & total surrender, always ready to offer everything at his Guru's lotus feet.
It was in the February 1980, on Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji's Barsi Samagam, Moni Sahib Ji had organised a huge & magnificient program in a remote village in Wardha where 113 Akhand Paths of Shri Guru Granth Saheb were read. This being the inaugration of historic Gurudwara Bhagor Saheb. This place of 200 Acres of land was proposed to be purchased solely to build a nice & big Religious Centre where Sangat from all over could come & stay.
The upliftment of the soul & to experience ultimate reality were some of the concerns of Sant Mata Radha Bai alias Jai kaur, (Grand daughter of Sant Baba Thariya Singh Ji of Sindh, now in Pakistan). Sant Baba Ram Singh Ji & Sant Baba Joginder Singh Ji (Moni Sahib). All above saints used to do Satsang together & discuss such matters.
It was Sant Radha Mata's keen desire to have an Ashram in a quite & peaceful place away from the city. But this desire remained unfulfilled. So Moni Sahib combined Mata Ji's wish, who was just like a Guru to him, concept of Sikhism & bringing all the Religions/Faiths on one platform by constructing this Ashram.
Sometime in November, 1984, Moni Sahib Ji visited farm house of Mr. Gurkirat Singh Butalia at Akurdi. Adjoining their house was a small room where Guru Granth Saheb Maharaj Ji's Prakash (Gurudwara) was done by Mrs. Mandeep Kaur (wife of Mr. Gurkirat Singh). Moni Sahib Ji laid the foundation stone for the Gurudwara Renovation, which was inaugrated on 21st may, 1985 by Babaji himself doing Prakash of Shree Guru Granth Saheb Ji & took Mukhwak. Butalia family, revealed to Baba ji their good intention of offering land for the Gurudwara to him (Moni Babaji) & later handed over one acre of land to him free of cost.
The vision & the designed plan of the Babaji took the form by Babaji personally inviting Shree Hazoor Baba Sarabjot Singh Ji Bedi (17th Grand generation of Shree Guru Nanak Dev Ji) to lay the foundation stone of this Ashram. The Ashram was inaugurated on 19th of December 1993. The Ashram is built on more than one acre of land. The construction of Mansoravar Ashram took just 09 months to complete as if Gods themselves had facilitated the construction work.
Sarovar of this Ashram contains nectar i.e Amrit water of 68 Tirthas & recital of Japji Saheb 1,25,000 times. Anyone who reads Japji Saheb 84 times in 48 hours at sarovar will attain salvation. This was the blessing & grace given by Babaji at the time of the inaugration of this Ashram. From December 19, 1993 to December 23, 1993 was the function which was no less than Kumbh Mela where in the Saints of all Panths (Sects) took dip in the nectar of Sarovar. The Ashram has an exceptional Meditation Hall where automatically one will forget his/her worldly affairs & the mind will recite name of God.
LOVE OF MANKIND, irrespective of caste, colour & creed, Sewa (Service) to mankind & Meditation (to recite the name of Lord Almighty) are the main objectives that are reflected by taking the Darshan of the Ashram. Thus the sweet memory of Sant Mata Radha Bai (Jai Kaur) is kept alive by Sant Baba Joginder Singh Ji (Moni Sahib) in this Ashram that is Manasarovar Ashram.
"SEEDS OF SATJUG HAVE BEEN SOWN IN KALJUG BY SHRI 108 SANT BABA JOGINDER SINGH JI (MONI SAHIB) BY CREATING THIS ASHRAM SHREE WAHEGURU GURU NANAK MANASAROVAR ASHRAM."
